In the heart of the city of Siena, within a green lung of more than three hectares, the historic complex of Villa Oncinello is born; a hospitality facility of excellence that interprets the monumental charm of the uniqueness of the territory's history. History, territory and refinement find in the architecture of Villa Oncinello a spatial synthesis that suspends the guest in a delicate timeless limbo. Characterized by the flavor of the rediscovery of traditional local values, the structure is designed as a residence that rediscovers its guise of Italian excellence, defined by sober, elegant and never predominant spaces. The modernity of the environments thus finds a new dimension of fusion with the place, where local materials are rediscovered for use and form, giving the architecture that sense of rooted belonging to its territory and history.

The renovation of the entire ancient village included a substantial technical-functional adaptation of the entire property, as well as the ex novo design of the entire built volume. Given the importance of represented historical uniqueness of the property, special attention was observed on the methods of preservation and formal adaptation necessary for the protection of the structure in relation to the new accommodation functionality.

 

Nel cuore della città di Siena, all'interno di un polmone verde di oltre tre ettari, nasce il complesso storico di  Villa Oncinello; una struttura ricettiva di eccellenza che interpreta il monumentale fascino dell'unicità della storia del territorio. Storia, territorio e raffinatezza trovano nell'architettura di Villa Oncinello una sintesi spaziale che sospende l'ospite in un delicato limbo senza tempo. Caratterizzata dal sapore della riscoperta dei valori tradizionali locali, la struttura si disegna come una residenza che riscopre la sua veste di eccellenza italiana, definita da spazi sobri, eleganti e mai predominanti. La modernità degli ambienti trova così una nuova dimensione di fusione con il luogo, dove i materiali locali vengono riscoperti per uso e forma donando all'architettura quel senso di radicata appartenenza al suo territorio e alla sua storia.

L'intervento di recupero dell'intero borgo antico ha previsto un corposo adeguamento tecnico-funzionale dell'intera proprietà, nonché la progettazione ex novo dell'intera volumetria edificata. Data l'importanza di unicità storica rappresentata del bene, particolare attenzione è stata osservata sulle metodologie di conservazione ed adeguamento formale necessaria alla  tutela della struttura in relazione alla nuova funzionalità ricettiva.
